Suffolk Hypnobirthing
In-person and online training sessions held in Bungay and Laxfield in Suffolk.Providing essential antenatal education, and a great opportunity to meet other local parents-to-be.

Hello!
I'm Sophie, the founder of Suffolk Hypnobirthing and mum to two little boys, and Squid the cat, based in Bungay, Suffolk.I decided to study hypnobirthing towards the end of my second pregnancy and fell in love with the theory when I realised it was based on science and physiology. I went on to have a hugely positive and empowering birth experience – in stark contrast to my first. For me, hypnobirthing was such effective preparation for what was to come. By applying the tools and techniques, I found I was able to minimise the intensity of contractions, maintain a sense of calm and control, and achieve a happy experience for one of the most important moments of my life. Being able to look back on this memory with such fondness is a gift – and an opportunity I believe all parents should be entitled to, which is why I love doing what I do!

The Hypnobirthing Workshop
I run Hypnobirthing Workshops on Sunday mornings from 10 am to 1.30 pm at the Bungay Community Centre or at my family home in Laxfield, depending on what’s most convenient for each couple. This 3-4 hour session is jam-packed with birth knowledge essentials, including: the basic physiology of birth; how to work with your body to ease contractions and optimise birth hormones; breathing techniques to deeply relax; and the birth partner's role. In addition to this content, you will receive a training manual and access to three guided hypnosis MP3s to support your ongoing practice. For more information on upcoming dates and how to register for the workshop, follow the link below.
